Handhelds

Supply of handheld equipment seems to have stabilised lately. In the early years there was a mass of new equipment from various manufacturers and that was probably unsustainable in the long term particularly since there was intense competition from Palm for the personal information manager market..

Now there are a smaller number, but cheaper and more able machines on the market and with Microsoft continuing to support the platform the situation because of the "industrial" side of the business, the future is pretty good.

Suppliers The largest manufacturer is still HP with their iPaq range but also count significantly and ASUS and Pharos and Fujitsu.
Total PDA have always go plenty of new and reconditioned machines.
Pocket PC Central are worth a look to see the scope of the range of new machines worldwide.
Smartphones running Mobile 5 and with 320x240 pixel screens should not have any problem running our software but it has not been test (nor Mobile 6).
